GOD
WHY AM I A FAT GUY?
(This
poem is a figment: - Not dedicated to anyone.)
(God speaking)
Because I created you, to be what you are.
To do things you do, and travel through life this far.
Why can’t I be slim, like Tom Dick, Harry and Jim?
Why must I be overweight?
I’d love to run alongside my friend at his pace,
because he’s my mate.
Why can’t I wear cloths that look good?
Show others I care.
Why can’t I be like others, eat food and enjoy a drink,
not have everyone stare?
Is overweight
really great, as you designed me to be,
You must have witnessed the anxiety felt by me.
I want to be slim, like Tom, Dick, Harry and Jim.
I want to run alongside my mate, before it’s too late.
I want to wear cloths, that put me on show,
not look like a person, no one wants to know.
I want to be like others, eat food and enjoy a drink,
not have a care what the world may think.
Thank you God for helping me to develop the new me,
in a world you created for all to be.
