MAGazine

From a very white Southwick, United Kingdom — lots of snow falling on this Sunday morning.  Hi Erroll and all our friends at MAG Sydney.

Tony and I would like to extend a heart felt thanks to you Erroll and Members of MAG who made us so welcome and allowed us and Tony’s cousins Lisa and Rob from Adelaide, the chance to take part in the 30th Anniversary of Mardi-Gras.

It is difficult to describe how amazing we felt on top of the MAG bus with all the crowds screaming as we went up Oxford Street and not only to see ourselves on the big screen but also the bus was shown on the local TV news the next morning in all its glory.

This was my second trip to Australia and also your beautiful city and coming to Sydney to take part in your celebrations has to be on of the highlights of our       holiday. The rain held off for most of the trip and the weather felt like a nice       English summer, however Tony’s cousins did not   complain about the weather   saying it was cold.  This was not surprising since Adelaide was having their         hottest heat wave since 1934.

Although we only had a few days in Sydney we managed to see quite a lot and meet some really great people, especially at the Taxi Club, which we first went to on our honeymoon trip back in 2006 — we had our civil partnership ceremony in October 2006.

We were so taken by the friendliness of the club that we have become members, even though we are thousand of miles away, we know we will always get a warm welcome there on our return, which we hope will not be to far away.

We cannot say goodbye without making special mention about the welcome that  we received when we had an Audience with your very own Royalty, Dame Dolly       Devine.  David we hope you had a great birthday when you visited England.

A BIG HUG TO EVERYONE — Love Tony and Paul xxxx Brighton, United Kingdom.

Dear Tony and Paul —

Just a short note to respond to your most welcomed letter.  It was our pleasure in having you both, together with the relations from Adelaide as guests on our 2008 Mardi Gras   Parade Bus.   I am pleased that you all enjoyed the event.   I feel that it was one of the best Parades.  Your last night spent with some of us guys at the Taxi Club was a most memorable evening.    I look forward in catching up with you both again on your return to Sydney.     All the very best, luv David,  Ed — Triple D M.
