On 15 October 2002, a group of 15 MAG members and friends went to visit Spectacle Island which is located in the Parramatta River, opposite the Drummoyne Sailing Club, near Birkenhead Point Shopping Centre. It is 10 hectares of closely clipped lawns and a collection of buildings ranging in style from Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian to 1960's orange brick.
